Glasgow Life are kicking off their Games Time Festival with a free family fun day, and it's the first of loads happening across the city all summer. Expect sports and games to try, fitness challenges, inflatables and face painting — basically a guaranteed way to wear the kids out before lunch.

🦜 Inflatable Fun City

The UK's largest themed inflatable is a 15,000 sq ft Amazon Rainforest, and yes — your kids can bounce around it all afternoon. Entry also gets you the pirate galleon, circus inflatable, go-karts, crazy golf, a play bus and animal feeding. Brilliant if your crew need to burn off serious energy.

🧝 The Great Gnome Hunt

Cheeky gnomes are hiding along the woodland trails at Lochwinnoch, and your wee explorers need to track them all down. Grab an activity pack from the visitor centre and head off on the hunt — perfect for kids of all ages who love a good outdoor mission.

🎶 Terraza Del Clyde

New for 2026, this Ibiza-inspired weekender by the Clyde is open to all ages. Expect DJs, live bands, Café Mambo vibes and sunset sessions — a fun one if your big bairns fancy something a bit different. Under 16s must be with an adult aged 25+.

📖 Family Storytelling at Falls of Clyde

A lovely gentle afternoon for storytelling fans — a riverside walk with author Allison Galbraith sharing tales of the Clyde, followed by zine-making and collaging back at the visitor centre. There's even free baking from Holtz Bakery and hot drinks. Properly cosy.

🐝 The Glasgow Bee Trail

Basil and Beetrice need your help finding their 23 bee friends (plus 2 bonus bees) hidden around the Cathedral Precinct. It's a free self-guided trail, and each bee comes with a wee bit of Glasgow history. Pop along over the launch weekend for freebies and a proper celebration of the city's honey bees.

🐑 Woolly Weekend

🧪 Wacky Science Show

Dr Zob is bringing an hour of fire, smoke, bubbles and mind-blowing experiments to Rosebank. Kids of all ages can come up on stage and have a go themselves — loud, lively, and the kind of "learning" that doesn't feel like it at all.
