Glasgow 2026 is officially in full swing, and the whole city is buzzing. There's sport on giant screens in Kelvingrove, dancefloors popping up in the Merchant City, and pipe bands taking over The Barras.

If you fancy a break from the Games buzz, there's also fairground games at the Riverside, a proper farm show in East Kilbride, and a prehistoric adventure day at Drumpellier.

🎡 All The Fun Of The Fair

The Riverside's summer of fairground fun rolls into its final weekend with traditional games — think coconut shy and all the classics. Free, drop-in, and a lovely way to break up a museum wander.

💃 Dance Makes The Floor

A dancefloor gets built from scratch in the middle of the Merchant City, and the music only plays when people are moving. Watch local and international dance crews get things started, then jump in yourselves. A brilliant, slightly bonkers way to kick off the festival.

🏟️ Glasgow 2026 Festival

The city-wide festival tied to the Games is running all summer, with outdoor performances, art installations and family events popping up across Glasgow. Loads to dip into depending on where you are and what mood you're in — worth a browse before you head out.

🐄 East Kilbride Farm Show

A proper old-school farm show with cows, sheep, heavy horses and showjumping. There's a craft marquee, a junior baking competition, and a food street with hog roast and wagyu burgers. A full-on day out for wee ones who love animals (and grown-ups who love a wagyu burger).

🎨 Creative Craft Camp for Primary

If you need a day of childcare that doubles as a proper creative treat, Braw Wee's summer craft camp is a solid shout. Small groups, all materials included, and everything they make comes home with them. For ages 5–11, running Friday if you want to book in.

🏅 Game On Live Site

Kelvingrove Park is transformed into the ultimate Games hub, with three giant screens showing 12+ hours of daily coverage. There are sports to try, live performances, creative activities and play zones spread across seven areas. Easily a full day out — and completely free.

🧚 Magical Makers Kids Craft Camp

Fairy doors, dragon glades, glitter potions, treasure boxes — this one's all about magical, hands-on making. Ages 6–12, with two projects a day and everything going home to be treasured. Friday is your last day to catch it.

🦕 Marvolution Future Creatures Week

🍄 Summer Fun Days
