June is here and the weekend is absolutely brimming. We're talking a brand-new food festival in Queen's Park, a proper family rave in the city centre, Highland Games, gala days galore β€” and even a raft race down the River Avon.

Brand-new for 2026 and looking like an absolute belter. Expect street food from all over, live music, a cookery theatre, artisan markets, and proper family entertainment β€” magicians, stilt walkers, circus workshops and (yes really) banana jousting. Grab a deckchair, grab a snack, settle in.

🎢 1994 Family Fun Summer Rave

Oldskool anthems, party games and absolutely no teachers allowed. Upstairs is the main rave room with DJs, face paints and balloon modellers; downstairs is calmer for younger ravers with a bouncy castle and ball pit. Best for ages 3+ and guaranteed to wear them out.

🌳 Forest Babies

The festival's 20th birthday and it's running across venues all over the city. Weekend highlights include Dogs with Jobs at Kelvin Hall on Friday β€” exploring how assistance and sniffer dogs use science every day. Almost all events are free, so well worth a browse.

🎺 Kilbarchan Lilias Day

A 300-year-old village tradition with a parade of pipe bands, decorated floats and historic costumes through Kilbarchan. The party lands in the public park with a tug of war, music tent, food village, dog show and medieval village. A proper community day.
